Stuck and Sandy…

Hello! How is everyone?!

Like many of you, I’m one of the millions of people experiencing Hurricane Sandy right now! I’m also one of the thousands of people stranded because of all flight cancellations:-/ At this point, I’m not sure when I will be able to fly home…
Thankfully I’m in the beautiful city of Philadelphia where I’ve been for several days for work. This is my first hurricane. Yikes! Philly knows what to do though and everyone here has been nothing but amazing:)

This is apparently the “storm of the century” but at least we are all in it together!
My prayers go out to all those affected by this storm and I pray that all of you stay safe during this time, especially those who are experiencing extreme damage. We all need to help each other! There’s crazy wind and rain right now so I won’t be venturing outside my hotel any longer. However, I still curled my hair today, put on some cute boots, and I’m going to have some hot chocolate 😉

Stay safe!
Great Pic:)
Red Cross for Hurricane Sandy:

Update 10/30: I’m still stuck but my heart and prayers go out to everyone suffering from this horrific and historic hurricane. My sympathy to all of you suffering from loss at this time. We all need to help each other right now in any way we can. Stay safe and warm. God bless

Beauty Spot: Revlon

Bonjour everyone!
So with everything being so busy lately, I still managed to squeeze in walking on the red carpet at a recent film festival…how could I not? 😉

However, with the rush of working/traveling/living these past weeks, I managed to forget one of the most important essentials when walking down the red carpet and having your photo taken. Ugh. My powder. Hello shiny face! Ugh.

Not to fear, the problem was easily solved by my beautiful, dear friend Sammi in the form of her…

Revlon Age-Defying with DNA Advantage foundation compact. Yay! It seriously saved my night!

Now, I mention this to all of you for several amazing reasons. One being that it saved my night and looked absolutely beautiful on! Two, it shows you that friends are really good things 😉 And three, it turns out that this makeup is not horrendously expensive. Let me tell you, I love a great deal when I can find one! Amazing! Its also easy to purchase at your local store or online (for all of my international friends!).

It blends really easily and gives a beautiful flawless finish. It made my skin look smooth and pressed without being too matte and/or too shiny. Just perfect.

I’d be interested to learn if any of you have tried this product and what your thoughts are…I then also remembered that this product was featured in Vogue magazine a few issues back. It was talked about as being an amazing foundation! Hmmm…I then did some research and found that Revlon Age-Defying Spa Face Foundation and their Illuminator is another great favorite that works!

In the meantime, it may be worth trying if you’re looking for a new foundation/concealer/powder. Or, if you also find yourself in a beauty bind 🙂

Fashion Friday 10/12/12

Happy Friday everyone!!

I’ve been shooting in Ohio and traveling around the American Mid West for work lately and so this post is an inspiration from the beauty of this Fall season there…

Beautiful leaves are changing right now…

Inspiration truly comes from the beauty of God’s creation. With the beauty of this season, it’s no wonder that the hottest color on trend now is yellow!

Mustard, Fall yellow that is 😉

Here is some fashion inspiration for all of you:

Normally this isn’t my favorite color, but I have to admit that it’s definitely growing on me!

For the first time this week, I had to get my coat, tights and boots out but it’s a little exciting because I love this time of year…coffee shops, books, fireplaces, snuggling…yay for Fall!!

This is a great outfit…just don’t forget your opaque tights to complete the look!

Have a beautiful weekend~

The Day of the Rose

In many different ways, today is all about roses! I adore roses 😉 They have special meanings depending on the color but no matter what shade you prefer them in, they are all part of the natural beauty of our wonderful world.

In fashion too of course! 🙂

TIP: Take your favorite floral dress from Spring/Summer and pair it with black opaque tights/pantyhose and black heels/black boots to elongate your legs. You can top it all off with a cute black jacket for cold weather. Most times this makes a fabulous outfit! I do this all the time…

…And so does Claudia Schiffer!

And to finish this rose post…I love roses in all colors but I thought this chart was cool and good to know!

May you all have a rosy week 🙂
